Our Founding Goddess has bestowed upon me some Admin privileges and my first order is to create a custom header for our blog. I’d like to do a collage style thing featuring each of or crafts. To do that, I need your images, and permission to use them. Leave a comment here and let me know where I can get them if you’ve got something that will work.

I also plan on customizing the look of things here in general, and making some buttons for us to promote with…so we can get some action around here!

I’d like to make something, either a mixed media necklace OR a wall hanging/assemblage/shrine using materials that members here have made and contributed. I will pay for members to ship materials to me, and for listing fees and such. We would have to pick where we want to donate the proceeds…and I think that would be the theme we should use.

It wouldn’t take much in the way of materials. Scraps of yarn that you’ve spun, knitted swatches, painted bits….anything that members have created….can be used. I REALLY want to do this. I’m in a creative jewelry slump and am really feeling drawn to this idea.

So….who where when? A few of you have expressed interest in my previous post….and it sounds like this could work!

a Wishcrafts shop on Etsy? Anyone up for it? I’m pretty familiar with the interface there, and would be more than happy to list the items and maintain things…there’s more that would have to be done, but I’m sure we can get it all figured out.

Or…a collaborative project between the members here? I’m dying to get my hands on some of the fibers you guys spin, to make a mixed media necklace. We could swap some supplies….things we’ve had laying around that we won’t use, but someone else might. Kinda like a white elephant swap.

Haveany bought, looked at, or heard reviews on the Charmed Knits: Projects for Fans of Harry Potter? I am wanting to buy is and wanted to know if anyone has any reviews on it.

I am totally loving the new template and everything for WishCrafts. It feels all Springy and stuff.

Things have been really busy around here.

BUT..I have been knitting and I finished the first in my Elements Shawls.

This is the Flowing River Shawl from our own Renee over at Goddess Knits/BoPeeps Wool Shop, and the yarn was hand dyed by Kae. Now to locate the patterns and get the yarn for the next elements.

In the meantime I’ve started Renee’s Butterfly Wings pattern.

I have sort of been out of it for a little while. We had a lot of stress dealing with our youngest brat. During all of this, we found out that he has ADHD with ODD and are still working out his Adderall perscription. We also found out that my Bear has bad cholesterol counts and have been working on the family’s diet and exercise. Grandma Bear was in town when we found out and she let us in on all sorts of information about Grandpa Bear. He had numerous heart attacks and heart disease before he died. That was a good smack in the face for Bear.

 On the crafty front, I have spund 4 skeins of yarn, knit a ton, and dyed a bit too. Right now I am working on Soliel, a cardigan for mum, and have two fair isle bags to finish and felt. They have been sitting on needles for a little while. I am about half way done with both and just stopped. I hope to find my drive again soon.

 Okay, I am at work and need to start doing something productive before “the man” gives me something to do. Bye

No spinning or knitting or dyeing for me ::cries::

I bought a house and am spending almost all my free time remodelling it, or taking my girl to swim lessons or going to class. So I have no life and no free time. However, the house is almost done… after that, there’s some merino/tencel top here that needs to be spun… and maybe the second half of the burgundy silk/wool blend.

Until then, I’m trying to stay at least somewhat sane… you know, for appearances. I think I’d look rather odd if I pulled out chunks of my hair…
